Mercado Eletrônico, a leading Latin American company in B2B e-commerce solutions, has been chosen in 2020 as one of the most incredible places to work in Brazil, according to a survey conducted by the FIA Employee Experience (i-FEEx), in partnership with UOL portal.

The award was announced on Tuesday (01/12), and we guaranteed our place among the 100 companies in the ranking. Four indexes had been analyzed for this award: organizational climate, people management, leadership and CEO.

The survey was carried out based on the opinion of employees, who submitted their responses through an on-line form.

Most Incredible Places to Work award

In its first edition, the award took place 100% on-line, with the participation of leaders from small-, mid- and large-sized businesses.

The organizational climate index analyzed internal communication, processes and organization, recognition and reward, among other aspects. The indicator on people management evaluated the set of rules used to structure the HR area, and how this is conveyed to other areas of the organization.

In the leadership index, basic factors about the relationship between manager and employee were taken into account – such as constructive feedbacks, leader coherence and even the actual leadership style.

Finally, the CEO index analyzed three indicators: personal exposure, level of trust between employees and the professional and management evaluation.

 

Mercado Eletrônico stayed close even remotely

In this pandemic period, Mercado Eletrônico promoted actions to brought employees even closer, keeping them safe and cared for even with social distance and the adoption of remote work.

According to Adriana Oliveira, the company’s Human Resources Director, among the actions taken in recent months are the flu vaccination and the rapid test of covid-19 in a drive-thru system, as well as the permission for employees to take their chairs from the office, to work at home.

“The company provides also a ‘home office voucher’, so that everyone can buy materials to support them in their daily work, along with R$ 70.00 every month, to help with Internet expenses”, she said.

 

Individual care and customized support for each employee

According to Adriana Oliveira, the award reflects one of the key pillars of the company, which is care for the team.

“Mercado Eletrônico chose an individual care and to offer support to each employee in a customized way. Besides, all managers had been instructed to talk to their teams, and understand their needs, both personal and professional, in this unique moment.”

 

The FIA Employee Experience award on the most incredible places to work in Brazil was held in a virtual way, with a live broadcast through UOL’s YouTube channel.

In 2020, Mercado Eletrônico has also won the GPTW MulherGPTW Brasil e GPTW TI awards.
